TCARA provides in-person exam sessions at least four times per year.

With the ongoing government shutdown, unlicensed individuals are not able to register for an FCC Registration Number (FRN) in CORES. 

Under a special provision from the ARRL-VEC, we can and will test you without an FRN. Upon passing an exam you will be issued a Certificate for Successful Completion of Exam (CSCE) and your test materials will be forwarded to the ARRL-VEC for processing when the FCC reopens for business. You will be able to register for an FRN at that point and your materials will await processing until you call the ARRL-VEC and give them your FRN. We will gladly assist you with this process. 

Please email us directly if you have any problems registering on hamstudy.com without an FRN. This information and guidance will likely change if the shutdown ends prior to the November 22nd exam session, but for now don't let an inability to sign up for an FRN stop you if you want to take an exam.
